How to Burn IMG files to USB Drive in Ubuntu

1. First, Install the usb-imagewriter package. ( Ubuntu 9.04, 9.10, 10.04, 10.10, 11.04, 11.10)
   
   
2. Open Terminal ( Applications > Accessories > Terminal )
   
   
3. Type Command :-  sudo apt-get update
      sudo apt-get install usb-imagewriter
    
4. Than, Insert USB Device (Pen Driver)
   
   
5. Open Imagewriter application ( Application > Accessories > Imagewriter)
   
   
6. Browser your .img file to Write Image box and next select your USB Drive now Press “Write to device” Button and wait.....
   
   
7. After completing the Success massage display on your screen then press OK button.
   
   
8. Now, you can remove the USB Drive. Your USB Drive ready to boot.
   
   
9. Then, restart your Computer and boot the USB device and start installation.

1) First, uninstall your previous firefox:- 

Open Terminal ( Applications > Accessories > Terminal )

a)  sudo apt-get autoremove firefox

2) Then follow these command:
a)  sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mozillateam/firefox-stable

b)  sudo apt-get update

c)  sudo apt-get install firefox

1.   After entering the Username and Password, the screen will start with theMouse Cursor still working and Terminal will open.

2.   In this condition, your Computer/Laptop connect the Network cable (Internet Connection) & type command in terminal windo.

a)  sudo apt-get autoremove compiz
b)  sudo apt-get autoremove compiz-core
c)  sudo reboot (computer will restart)

(Tip – When you run following command in terminal that time if system asked you for confirmation then type “Y” (Yes) and press enter)
Your Computer/Laptop will start but same problem

3.   Then you Install Ubuntu-Desktop
Command :-

a)  sudo apt-get update
b)  sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop

How to Partitioning Hard Drive in Windows 7 Without Formatting

1. First, Press “Start” button search “Computer” right click on computer button and press the “Manage” tab.
   
   
2. Display new windows “Computer Management” then click on “Storage” and go to “Disk Management”. Display the all drive on your computer.
   
   
3. Then you select any drive that you want to partition. Just right click on selected drive and open the “Shrink Volume” 
   
   
4. Now open windows “Shrink C: ( D:, E: any drive)” and enter your partition size in front of “Enter the amount of space to shrink in MB:” 
   
   
5. For Example :- Your “Total size before shrink in MB:” = 40 GB, “Size of available in shrink in MB:” = 25 GB and you want new partition size 15 GB so you Enter the size '15000' in front of “Enter the amount of space to shrink in MB:” then Click the “Shrink” button and wait for the process to complete.
   
   
6. The process is completed a windows showing unallocated space, Select this unallocated space and on right clicking on it click on the option “New Simple Volume”.
   
   
7. Then “New Simple Volume” wizard open your screen. First, you format your partition. Then Select 1. File System – NTFS or FAT , 2. Allocation unit size – Default and 3. Volume Lable – your drive name (Pravin) and then click on “Next” and then “Finish”.
   
   
8. Now your New Drive ready to use …............ Enjoy …..... Life is Beautiful
